Chapter Nine addresses the idea of Paul mourning because many of the Jews are not accepting Christ as the Messiah. He discusses that the Israelite’s through Abraham’s son Isaac are the chosen line, although all can be saved through Christ. He also speaks of the unbelief of Israel, which grieves him greatly.
