Chapter Five shows the results or benefits of the doctrine of justification through faith. He shows it’s immediate effect is to bring peace. This is a very important point. We can be at peace. He shows that we should rejoice in trials and tribulations because the result of them, because of God’s guidance, will be for our good. He also shows that the blessings received by redemption through Christ far outweighs the evils that had come upon the world due to the sin of Adam.
